Configure Norton Anti-Virus to Work with PC Sentinel Software Keyloggers

Many users have Norton Anti-Virus installed on their computer either before or after they install our keylogger products.  Even though our products are designed to allow parents to keep track of their children's online activities, Norton Anti-Virus persists in keeping PC Sentinel Software Keylogger products on their list of programs marked as spyware and will block our software from being used.  This is typically done by deleting our keylogger software with little or no notice to the end user, who can only surmise that our keylogger products have stopped working for some reason.

Fortunately Norton Anti-Virus does provide a way to configure itself to allow our products to run unfettered.

Simply follow the easy steps described below.  Your Norton screens may look a little different depending on the version, but all versions of Norton offer Signature Exclusions in their spyware options screen.

Step 1

Open your Norton software. This is the main screen. Click the tab at the top that is called Norton Internet Security.

Step 2

Now click on the Yellow bar called Settings.

Step 3

Now click on the option called Virus and Spyware Protection Options.

Step 4

Click on the Signature Exclusions link under the Advanced Options.

Step 5

A list of any programs selected to be excluded would be listed here. In this example there are none. Click the New button to add PC Sentinel Software keyloggers.

Step 6

All available programs will be listed. It may take a few seconds for the list to appear so please be patient. Scroll down and select Spyware.Busted, Spyware.Redhanded or Spyware.SmokingGun. Click the Add button.

Step 7

The products you selected should now be listed. Click OK and exit Norton.

If Norton had already blocked a PC Sentinel Software keylogger you should remove your current version and reinstall the software. However, after following the above steps PC Sentinel keyloggers will be allowed to run with Norton on your computer.
